The Persuaders
"Each year, legions of ad people, copywriters, market researchers, pollsters, consultants, and even linguists – most of whom work for one of six giant companies – spend billions of dollars and millions of man-hours trying to determine how to persuade consumers what to buy, whom to trust, and what to think." (PBS)
This docu (60 min) features not only a lot of advertisting master-minds, but also follows the process of certain marketing-campaigns.
In addition "the persuaders" tries to highlight the different positions in that game, advertising companies and their creative staff, corporations who try to sell their products, consumers and critics like Naomi Klein.
I think this whole docu gets even more interesting if you no from the start that "Song"-Airlines was closed down 2006. (Maybe Americans know that, but maybe the rest of us not even knew that there was such an airline ^^)
