From Aleppo to Hollywood - the dream of Mustapha Akkad
Mustapha Akkad was a syrian american film producer, who until his unfortunate death in 2005 worked hard on fulfilling his dream of building a bridge between the islamic world and the west - by making extraordinary movies.
He was best known for directing the successful horror film-series 'Halloween' and besides that produced several movies in which his own culture and religion plays a dominant role.
This Al Jazeera English documentary pays tribute to Mustapha Akkad and his work. It is a biographical journey, interviewing his family, friends, co-workers and highlighting major aspects of his life an work.
